ETSF
ETSF: External Temporary Storage Facility. An approved place situated outside the appointed area of an approved port/airport where non-community goods may be held until they are assigned to a customs approved treatment or use.
Once your goods arrive at our warehouse, following their removal from the Port, you usually have 7 days rent free period to Customs clear your goods.
ETSF are popular with groupage consolidators as it allows unpacking of containers with individual customs clearance occurring afterwards. The main benefit of using an ETSF facility is that if there as any delay with an importer clearing their individual consignment it will not delay other cargo shipped within the same container, thus avoiding delays and excessive quay rent charges.
Warehousing
We also unload full load containers that have been customs cleared on quay. The majority of our general warehousing work is unloading containers and providing onward transportation throughout the UK and Europe.
In addition we offer a container loading service for export cargo including motor vehicles and machinery.

Specialist Book Services
Working alongside the ETSF section, the book service department works with a major provider of logistic services to the printing and publishing sector. This team is responsible for the strategic planning and executive movement of printed material from the Port of Southampton to final destination via the four main shipping lines.
Liaison with both customer and shipper throughout the entire shipment cycle. Monitoring and constantly improving pipeline times whilst highlighting trends and implementing new processes for the improvement of service.
