Environmental Policy

Like all enterprising companies Riva are all too aware that the current environmental and economic climate brings its own challenges. With this in mind Riva joined TPN (The Pallet Network) in 2000 as it saw the business model of a pallet network to be the most efficient way to maximise utilisation of carrying capacity whilst reducing not only carbon emissions but the number of vehicles on the road.  For more information on TPN click the link below.

In further attempts to reduce our carbon footprint Riva sourced and implemented environmentally friendly materials used in our everyday operations. Shrink wrap that possess the largest amount of recycled plastics whilst still maintaining functionality to name but a few. Through the use of pallets and other wood types for securing goods, Riva have pledged to assist in reducing deforestation by using FSC certified wood, meaning a new tree is planted for each tree cut down, whilst also recycling the use of pallets where possible. On site we ensure that 85% of our waste material is recycled.  These responsibilities enable us to achieve the best working practices in protecting the environment, business development and reinvestment.
